About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and have trained in the Lacanian tradition of independent psychoanalytic formation, including personal analysis, post-graduate coursework, and clinical supervision.

I practice psychoanalytically. What this means is that in addition to talking about your daily life and conscious concerns, we listen to the unconscious resonances of your speech, and pay close attention to dreams, jokes, and the unintended. Though therapy may often begin by speaking about a precise problem, grievance, or impasse, actively listening and being curious about what is said can allow for a conversation about desire.

I have practiced extensively in both private and public settings. These experiences have allowed me to work with children, teens, and adults varying in race, class, gender, and relations to sexuality. I have extensive clinical practice working with people across a spectrum of diagnostics and presenting problems that often unfold into new self-understandings.

I offer in-person and online sessions, including the option for a hybrid approach. Setting a fee is an open discussion. I will work with you and your out-of-network insurance benefits to agree on a fee that allows us to work together. Please inquire about sliding-scale availability.

If you are curious about the therapy process, please reach out to me by email, phone, or through the contact form linked above. I do not charge a fee for initial consultations.
